The key difference is the preparation of the concrete slab, which must be repaired if any damage is present such as cracks, weathering or stains. After the slab has been repaired it must go through a process of grinding or shot blasting to expose the pores of the concrete. When the slab has been properly prepared, we apply a coating of overlay material and once it has had time to set, we use the same methods as we would on fresh concrete!
